Don’t Drink the Ginger Ale! A tale about the murder & mystery surrounding the Vandran family, will be presented at the Albany Regional Museum’s next History Bites on October 11th at noon!
The Vandran and the Monteith families were well known in the Albany community during its early history. Members of the Vandran family were proprietors of the Albany Depot Hotel, Vandran Hotel, and Hotel Pendleton.
When Kasper Vandran and Minnie Monteith married, the two families and the community experienced joy, mystery, murder and controversy. Bill Maddy, Albany Historian, & Amy Baker, Monteith House Society Vice-president, will present the story of the life and tragic deaths of Minnie and Kasper.
History Bites is free to attend. Admission to exhibits is now fee based, but always free for members!
