Theaters have always captured our imaginations. Their architecture and lighting have drawn us inside. Their decorative lobbies have let us know something special was about to happen. Darrell Jabin; Oregon's Traveling Historian toured and took photos of dozens of theaters. He researched Opera houses, Vaudeville and movie palaces. He interviewed historians, theater owners and directors of community theaters to produce an entertaining presentation covering the unique architecture and history of Oregon Theaters.
Each year, Darrell Jabin travels more than 6000 miles, working in more than 2 dozen cities in our state. He takes advantage of these trips by researching interesting events, history and people and telling about them in presentations and videos.
He has produced longer videos on Oregon Carousels, Oregon Amusement Parks and 100 Years of Oregon History as seen through the Oregon Blue Book and Oregon Rail History.
He has provided over 200 presentations in more than 40 cities throughout Oregon
